I am excited to partner with Maggie Coblentz to launch the new Research Station for Scientific Explorations in Emerging Technologies & Artistic Research.

Satellite is a transdisciplinary research institute in Svalbard facilitating & hosting projects in science, art, and technology exploration.

Its objective is to extend practices of knowledge production, and dissemination, to deepen understanding of Arctic systems and environmental changes.

We facilitate programming for developing research for the Arctic context.

We provide a base in Svalbard, guiding and logistics support for field expeditions. Our Institute invites individuals and groups working across a broad spectrum of research disciplines and practices. Through our joint science, art, and technology framework, we foster collaboration and research partnerships across fields spanning from human experience, to remote sensing, to space analogs, to artificial intelligence, and everything in between.
